Stone Chapel at Matt Lane Farm Wedding - Cassie & Chris

A Perfect Fall Day

Cassie and Chris both planned to have their wedding at the beautiful Stone Chapel at Matt Lane Farm. However, the journey of wedding planning and how we got to meet them has sooo many twist & turns. *cue flashback sounds* It all began when we created a contest on Instagram where people could enter to win a free engagement shoot.

As Northwest Arkansas wedding photographers, we get super excited when we host giveaways, because we never know who’s going to be the lucky winner. As soon as we saw that Cassie had won, we immediately started planning what their engagement session would look like. Now this session happened to be in the summer, but Cassie and Chris also ended up adding 2 additional engagement sessions, because they wanted to have a session in every season. We did one in winter, and one in spring with the hope that their wedding was going to be in the fall, but something unexpected happened that changed everything.

Their original wedding date was planned for October of 2020. You may remember the craziness of a year we had to deal with because of the pandemic and how long it lasted. Cassie had so many family and friends that were supposed to fly in from over seas, but that was no longer going to be a possibility with the restrictions in place due to COVID. Although a tough decision, they decided to postpone their wedding for the following year.

As their original wedding date got closer they decided they still wanted to get married. They decided to have a very small and intimate ceremony with immediate family in the middle of Lake Atalanta in Rogers, Arkansas. We celebrated and cheered as they finally got to be husband and wife, even though it was not in the circumstances that they had originally hoped for. So then all we had to do was wait for the following year and hope for the best!

One year later, we crossed our fingers that everything would go according to plan, and thankfully it did! We drove down to Stone Chapel to see that everything was set up for a perfect fall wedding! The leaves had just started to change colors, there were pumpkins, and the weather was perfect. Cassie had carefully curated the details to have autumn tones of orange, yellows, and greens. Even her bridesmaids, and man of honor, had different colors on to tie the theme together. The ceremony space was decorated with gorgeous carpets and dried grasses, along with custom hand painted notes and scriptures. Can’t wait for you to scroll to those to see.

As they finally got to enjoy their dream wedding surrounded by friends and family, they danced the night away and popped champagne outside. Of course they did it next to the giant lit sign that read “I DO”. To end the day, they had all their friends gather around outside with white pom pom streamers as bubbles went crazy from the bubble machine. To think that we never would’ve followed this amazing journey if they hadn’t won our giveaway. Life is crazy!
