The 1907 Building Wedding - Casey & Nick
Black Tie & Black Dress
There are some couples that we immediately connect with, and Casey and Nick were one of those couples! We instantly felt like fast friends! We have to thank JLK Weddings, one of our favorite wedding planners in Arkansas, for bringing us together.
We first met them at their engagement session, which we opted to have at the same location where they were going to be married, The 1907 Building in Rogers, AR. To those who are local, we know it more as the beautiful Onyx Coffee Lab Headauarters. If you’re a coffee lover, you have to come here! It’s amazing!!Check out their engagement session here.
While drinking coffee and getting to know each other, we were able to hear about their vision for the wedding. They wanted bold and beautiful, which is why they loved the location in general. It already provided a beautiful atmosphere with historic exposed brick, edgy murals, and hanging foliage. Onyx provides a great option for couples wanting to have a small intimate wedding in the evening after they’ve closed. Because it’s Onyx Headquarters, Casey and Nick wanted to make sure coffee was included, and we were THRILLED!
The color scheme for the wedding was black with accents of gold and white. It was STUNNING! Casey wore a gorgeous black wedding dress that she had custom made from the woman owned business Loulette Bridal in Brooklyn, New York. She specifically chose this bridal company for their inclusivity and sustainability practices. A portion of their proceeds goes to a charity of their choice. She wore black velvet constellation shoes to complete the ensemble! Even in the florals, provided by Arloh Flora, they utilized anemones with black accents. The style really encapsulated them as a couple: elegant, unique, consciencious, and all with a great sense of humor and fun spirit.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, we were told that what they valued most in photography was a candidness and authenticity…mixed with a great party! Everyone had a great time, whether on the dance floor, catching up with old friends, or playing with the custom made cards that Casey and Nick had brought for their guests. It’s weddings like this that make us really love our job, because we get to feel integrated as part of the day. They had total trust in us and were able to enjoy the night stress free because they knew we had their back! They could just be their authentic and joyful selves.
We could go on and on about these two, but we know you’re excited to see the amazingness that occurred on their wedding day! See below!
