Ballroom at I St. Wedding - Sarah & Spencer
It was a rainy Saturday afternoon when Sarah and Spencer tied the knot. The ceremony and reception were at the Ballroom at I st. The day was quickly moved indoors, but that did not dampen the excitement of the bridal party. Spencer, the groom, was soooo excited to see Sarah for their first reveal. You can clearly see it in the pictures!
Sarah wanted a very colorful wedding, which was seen in the stunning flower arrangements. Her dress was STUNNING!!! It was a lacy mermaid style dress with an overskirt. The pictures of it in the light are some of my absolute favorites. She also wore her grandmothers bracelet that was given to her as a surprise by her mother. Her girls were dressed in different styles of champagne dresses.
The ceremony was a beautiful and intimate family affair, with her brother in law officiating the ceremony. Because it was the day before halloween, the children dressed up in their halloween costumes. Then in family tradition, the new son-in-law toasted with Sarah’s dad and the other son-in-laws by drinking not one but two beers at the same time!!
What stood out to us the most about this wedding was the close family ties that were so important to Sarah and Spencer. They made it a point to speak with each person at their wedding that day, going from table to table to greet each one. The toasts were very emotional as well, especially from the maid of honor, her sister. When it was time to get on the dance floor, everyone was there, from the youngest to the oldest. Then at the end they took a BIG group picture and ended the night with Sarah and Spencer dancing alone on the dance floor, and then a fun sparkler send off. Thank you for letting us capture your wedding!! It was beautiful and so special!
